Narratives from the Adriatic reveals the cultural habits and experiences of the villagers and townsfolk who have lived alongside Croatia's Adriatic coastline for centuries. The topography is notable for its rugged terrain and distinct climate changes forcing the inhabitants of this region to lead a lifestyle that is marked by difficulties and a demanding way of life. The landscape is especially significant as it defines and shapes the people's unique identity, their daily activities and the means by which they maintain their existence. Narratives from the Adriatic capture the people, activities, and cultural practices in order to give a sense of place as shifts in the peculiarities of this region occur.

The inspiration for this series also arises from my desire to captures the spirit of a place to which I feel inextricably bound and have grown to consider home.
