at the edge of paradise

...and today I danced at the edge of paradise;

at the end of the world; and I tasted its waters, its salty waters.

yes, I tasted its soul.
and that is how I spent my day today

ARTIST STATEMENT

This series explores the idea that colour is symbolic and represents various concepts and emotions. It explores the interplay of colours and movement and how these elements influence individual experiences and perceptions. Images also serve as representations of social and psychological spaces, challenging the nature of both physical and metaphorical boundaries while reflecting on contemporary life, technology, and the structures of modern society.

Using a limited colour palette and bold and flat colours allows us to perceive texture and movement, creating a sense of depth and interaction. By dividing the frame to highlight two colours or a range of hues, visual tension and dialogue between the two halves are established. This encourages viewers to explore the relationships between colours, ultimately developing a unique visual language that transcends the boundaries of the image.
